ABOUT WELDING
Welding is an exciting career choice. There is a severe shortage of pipe welders in this Country.
You can work locally, or you can travel around the world. Qualified pipe welders are in big demand today. If you travel, you can make up to $100,000 per year. However, if you want to work locally, you can expect to earn from $40,000 to $70,000 a year. If you search the internet under “Pipe Welding Jobs,” you’ll see numerous opportunities available. See Pay Stub below to see what one of our recent graduates made, working locally, with only one year’s experience.
The welding industry has a unique way of hiring. Most companies would like a welder to be experienced. However, the welder shortage is so severe that to get a job, what’s important is that you pass the ASME-Section IX Welding Test, whether it’s plate or pipe. The rejection rate in testing facilities is over 50%, which is the reason why proper training is required. None of our graduates has ever failed a weld test. When you leave our training center, you will have the skills and confidence needed to pass your welding test to become a qualified/certified ASME Section IX Code welder.
To be a successful welder, you need to be trained by successful welders. Our instructors have an average of 25 years’ experience in the petro-chemical and nuclear industries (that’s where the high paying jobs are). They will show you how to “weld in the real world.”Our trainees are taught combination welding techniques so that they can demand the highest wages in the industry. What is a “Combination Welder?” A combination welder is capable of both TIG and Stick welding, which greatly increases your employment opportunities in this field. Our pipe course gives you the skills necessary to develop a life-long career in welding. “Live better, be a welder.”
